Designed as a comprehensive resource on spatial thinking, experimental pedagogy, and academic practices, this archive serves as a record for reference and critical analysis. 

More than a traditional institutional repository, it is envisioned as an "Archive of Ideas," structured to mirror the conceptual and intellectual framework of SEA. The platform captures specific engagements, explorations, and pedagogical reorientations, expressing the school's distinct set of practices constituted by its students and teachers. 

The collection encompasses intellectual articulations—from course books and objectives to studio briefs and lectures—alongside a  documentation of student work, field studies, and thesis projects. Through this structure, the archive navigates complex inquiries into typologies, ontologies, and genealogies, while exploring themes of environment, urbanisation, futures, and ethics. It serves as a space for rethinking geographies and histories of type, offering the school's co-learning experiments and its ongoing articulation of space and form.

Public space in the age of social media

The advent of virtual portals over / of social media for interaction, collaboration and co-working over the last decade has posed questions to the very nature and experience of physical spaces. The relationship between social media and physical space forms a relay that is continually evolving. The public spaces have expanded their boundaries from physical spaces into digital platforms and vice versa. These relationships play a very powerful and dynamic role in bridging the gap between physical and digital realms.

The thesis therefore tries to look at how social media reconfigures the in-habitation of physical public spaces. It aims to deliberate upon these through studying the dialectic relationship between social media and spaces through the events and transformations in the urban landscape of Mumbai. In urban areas, one sees a distinct tendency to orient the design of urban corners / public spaces themselves for a virtual consumption on social media where buildings and spaces become images rather than experiences of the performing body. Hence, the study is an attempt to identify and understand the physical and spatial transformations in the city and the manifestation of public spaces at various scales catering to a certain life that can be lived on social media.

The instances and events in the study are chosen where the digital manifests in a physical environment in temporary effervescent conditions that transform the spaces and help in mobilizing a larger audience and a few multifaceted relays created between the digital and physical dimensions of our environment.
